Dearest Gentle Reader, it is once again time to lace up your corset, pour a refreshing glass of lemonade, and listen to string quartet covers of Ariana Grande songs because Bridgerton returns on January 29 with the much-awaited season 4 (aka Benedict and Sophie's love story). With seven Bridgerton siblings, at least as many love interests, and scheming mamas galore, we have plenty of characters to arrange around the zodiac as if preparing for the season's opening ball.
A quick note before we begin: We're ignoring any birthdates stated in the Bridgerton books and going purely off of each character's vibes (if that irks you, simply think of these as the characters' Moon or Rising signs instead of their Sun signs). Similarly, we're talking about the TV versions of the characters, rather than the novels (so it's Kathani Sharma, not Kate Sheffield, and Michaela Stirling, not Michael). Without further ado: Your Bridgerton character, based on your zodiac sign.
Aries: Daphne Bridgerton Bassett
As an Aries, you are Daphne Bridgerton, Diamond of the First Water. Daphne demonstrates Aries' confidence and courage in the way she stands up to her older brother Anthony and makes her own decisions. She definitely has an Aries temper, as basically every man who wrongs her—from her siblings to her future husband—learns throughout the course of season 1 (and don't forget her competitive side that comes out during the cutthroat pall mall game in season 2). Plus, as the famous season 1, episode 6 sex montage showed us, she's got the sky-high Aries libido, too.
Taurus: Kate Sharma Bridgerton
You, Taurus, are none other than Kate Bridgerton (née Sharma). Taurus is the most stubborn sign in the zodiac, and Kate is quite possibly the most stubborn Bridgerton character in the whole series. When Anthony told her, "You are the bane of my existence and the object of all my desires," Kate fully earned that. The grudge she holds against him all season, simply because she overheard him saying he wanted to marry for money rather than love, is pure Taurus. Besides this, Taurus is also the sign of beauty, style, and pleasure: Kate might be the best-dressed Bridgerton heroine, and we all saw that moonlit gazebo sex scene, right?
Gemini: Penelope Featherington Bridgerton
Gemini is *the* sign of gossip and communication, so of course you are Penelope Bridgerton, aka Lady Whistledown herself. Just like Lady Whistledown, you have a way with words (or as Lady Whistledown puts it, "sharpening my knives"), you live for scandal, and you're skilled at picking up on whispers and subtle body language. You always know what's going on, even when people are trying to hide it. Like Penelope, you can easily live a double life (shy wallflower to some, and a snarky gossip writer to others). And like Penelope, you have a playful sense of humor, especially when it comes to making fun of those you find ridiculous (like Penelope's sisters and mama).
Cancer: Sophie Baek
As a Cancer, your Bridgerton character is Sophie Baek, heroine of season 4's Cinderella-inspired love story. After her father dies when Sophie is a child, she's forced to become a maid. Cancer is the sign of home and family, which is exactly what Sophie dreams of (luckily, her love interest Benedict has seven siblings). Cancer is also one of the most romantic signs of the zodiac, perfect for Sophie's swoon-worthy love story. The season 4 trailer also hints that Sophie is a romantic, as she imagines what it would be like "just to have that feeling for one glorious night."
Leo: Benedict Bridgerton
Leo, you are Benedict Bridgerton, season 4's leading man. Leo is naturally creative and lives for the spotlight, and throughout the series, we've seen Benedict dabble in painting, poetry, and art modeling (not to mention all the artist's models and modistes he's romanced). Benedict is outgoing and optimistic like a Leo, and he's also quietly generous and caring beneath his playful personality (which is exactly why Eloise says he's her favorite brother—and she's got a lot of brothers to choose from). Season 4 sets Benedict to go from unevolved Leo (a rake) to evolved Leo (a dedicated partner) throughout his love story with Sophie.
Virgo: Francesca Kilmartin Bridgerton
You know how Francesca gets overwhelmed by all the other Bridgertons' noise and chaos in season 3? All she wants is some peace! That's you to a T, Virgo. Francesca has the Virgo trait of wanting things to be neat, orderly, quiet, and under her control. In season 3, she approaches her hunt for a husband in a logical way, valuing practicality and shared goals over a dramatic love story. Similarly, her skilled piano playing shows a Virgo-like work ethic and attention to detail. The end of Season 3 sets up Francesca for quite a storyline in season 4: She just got married to John Kilmartin, who shares her love of quiet and her attention to detail, but feels an unexpected attraction to his lively cousin, Michaela.
Libra: Michaela Stirling
Libra, your character is the mysterious and charming Michaela Stirling. As season 4 begins, we don't know a lot about Michaela, but we do know that she's outgoing, magnetic, and adventurous. When she meets Francesca, she tells her, "I caution you. Every sordid detail John has spoken about me is a lie... The truth is far worse." (Libra is the most flirtatious sign of the zodiac, after all.) The stunning gold jewelry and black ballgown she wears in her single scene in Season 3 shows that she's got a Libran sense of style, too.
Scorpio: Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings
Scorpio, your character is the brooding, angst-y Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings. No one else embodies your tortured feelings so fully! Remember when Simon's terrible father dies and Simon vows never to produce an heir so the family line dies with him—all out of spite? That kind of behavior—dedicating your whole life to getting revenge on a dead man—is pure Scorpio. Scorpio is also the sign most closely tied to sex, very fitting for Simon and Daphne's season one sex montage. Only a Scorpio could say "I burn for you" with such intensity!
Sagittarius: Colin Bridgerton
As a Sagittarius, your Bridgerton character is globe-trotting Colin Bridgerton. Sagittarius is the sign of travel, and Colin gets some major character evolution (and quite a glow-up) when he travels throughout Europe between season 2 and 3. A less flattering side of Sagittarius: They have a tendency to put their foot in their mouth, which is exactly what happened when Penelope overheard Colin say he would never court her at the end of season 2, setting off their whole romantic season 3 arc. Most of all, Sagittarius is naturally lucky, thanks to their ruling planet, Jupiter. And that's Colin as he gets his happily-ever-after with Penelope.
Capricorn: Anthony Bridgerton
Capricorn is the boss of the zodiac, so Anthony—head of the Bridgerton family—is the obvious fit for your sign. Like Anthony, you're confident, responsible, and a little bit bossy. The eldest Bridgerton brother can't help but try to take control of all his siblings' romantic chaos! You often come across as very serious, but you have a playful side that comes out with your closest loved ones. And like Anthony, you can be a little…intense. "You are the bane of my existence and the object of all my desires" could only be said by a Capricorn.
Aquarius: Eloise Bridgerton
Aquarius is the rebel of the zodiac, and Eloise is the rebel of the Bridgerton family. She wants something more for herself than the marriage mart, and she wishes that as a woman, she had more opportunities available to her. She is determined to set her own fate, not follow societal expectations. Her season 2 flirtation with Theo Sharpe shows that she's questioning the rigid class structures of society as well. The deliberate way that Eloise approaches investigating Lady Whistledown's identity in season 3 is also a very Aquarius action—intellectual Aquarius is the sign of science.
Pisces: Edwina Sharma
Pisces, you are sweet, sensitive Edwina Sharma. Edwina is a romantic, living with her head in the clouds. One of Pisces' faults is their tendency to see the world through rose-colored glasses. Edwina misses Anthony's faults (and the fact that he's in love with her sister, not her) because she's so charmed by his manners. Edwina has a kind heart; she feels a bond with Anthony because they both lost their fathers young, and she loves animals, particularly horses. Ultimately, Anthony wasn't the answer to Edwina's fairy-tale dreams, but she's still a princess worthy of all the happiness in the world.
